Editing AutoCAD Drawings in Visio2003

I am attempting to edit an AutoCAD drawing in Visio2003.
I use FILE\OPEN and select the file type as AutoCAD
drawing. I then select the file I wish to import for
editing. However, the file does not open and instead I go
back to the gray window shown when VISIO starts. Any help
is appreciated.

Thanks. That worked perfectly. But, as you sai it took
some time for one of the drawings.

try going into 'tools' - 'macros' - 'visio extras' - and

the 'convert CAD drawing' the choose your cad draing and
it should load (but it takes a good half hour if its a
large file)
