Editing/Creating Calendar

I am running a demo of Project Server 2007 on Windows Server 2k3 x64. Client
is Vista Business 32 bit SP1, Project Professional 2007 SP2. Project Server
is on SP2 (Build # 12.0.0.6421) on a single server install.

When I try to setup a new calendar or modify an existing one the buttoms on
grayed out. If I don't connect to the project server I can create and edit
details just fine. Just not on the project server.

The account used is the part of the administrators group and I can modify
any setting I'd like on the server, just not the calendars.

On another PC using a different user account it works fine. Using my
account it runs into the same issue.

Anyone have any thoughts on the issue?

TIA,
Joe

To create a custom enterprise calendar in Project Server 2007, you need to
log into PWA with administrator permissions, and then click Server
Settings - Enterprise Calendars. From there you can create, modify, or
delete enterprise calendars as needed. Hope this helps.

I'm aware how to update/create new calendars. We are able to do it using
another account, just not my account even though it is part of the
administrators group.

Thanks,
Joe

Is it possible that you added your account to another user group which has a
hard deny for calendar creation?

To piggyback on bikerjohn's question, open your User account for editing in
PWA and determine if you are a member of any security Group other than the
Administrators group. If so, remove yourself from any other Groups so that
you are ONLY a member of the Administrators group. Save the changes and
then try to create a new calendar. Let us know the results.

I found that if I added myself the the 'Team Members' group in addition to
the 'Administrators' security group I was able to create and edit the
calendar from another PC. I still was unable to on my PC though.

I went ahead and logged in as another project admin on my PC and then was
able to edit and modify a project as I expected. But when logged in as my
user it still has the same issue as before.

So I'm assuming now it is just an issue with my profile on my laptop. I'm
going to try and do a MSI Installer cleanup and see what happens.

I'll keep you up to date on what I find. Thanks for all the help so far!!
