Editing Field in Table Causes Beep

J

JonM

Whenever I manually update a table field in MS Access
2003 my computer beeps. When I first click the field with
my mouse, the cursor oddly appears 3-4 spaces after the
last letter of text, as if spaces had been added after
the field value!

I can change the field value without a beep under two
conditions:

(1) If I backspace to the last letter of the word in the
field I can type and make changes--with no beep.

(2) If I tab between fields and completely replace the
field value, there is no beep. But the problem is I
sometimes want to edit the field and not retype the
entire value. Please help me!

HI!!
I'm taking a guess here, have you check the properties of
the textbox along the lines of an Input Mask maybe...
If there is a mask try removing it and edit your textbox
again, if it doesn't beep anymore, figure out if you
Absolutely needed that mask and if not, don't use it
again...

Hope this takes care of the problem..
