Editing graphics in a Word 2007 Template - and the footer

Hi

I have downloaded a template: Report (Origin theme) - very
professional

However

a) when I come to edit the Header 2 style which has a very nice 6pt
left border line - the top, right and bottom are 1pt, I can change the
thickness of the left border but not the colour of the border line
which, although I chagne it to green, goes back to a light blue. Any
advise

b) when I came to edit the footer I was very pleased to find i) a nice
graphic can be added in the left or right margin. But how to insert
your own graphic. Do you have to use the few images supplied?

c) There was the option to have a chevrons pointing down - nic. But
the field on offer was date. How do you selct you own field?

Are you sure it was the Report (Origin Theme) template? What you describe
doesn't sound like what I'm seeing. But that doesn't really matter for your
questions. :)

When it comes to colors you might try another set of Theme Colors or
creating a custom set of Theme Colors instead of changing the colors
yourself. The idea behind using Themes is you create a set of formats that
apply to existing elements and new elements you add to the document. For
example if you add a Building Block from a gallery, shape, etc, that content
will either be formatted to match your theme or your formatting selections
will match your theme which can save a LOT of time. If you're not sure what
I mean, on the Page Layout tab, select another Theme and then view any of
the galleries that contain Building Blocks, such as Header, Footer, Cover
Page, etc. You'll see the colors and fonts automatically update to match the
selected Theme. You can change the entire Theme or just the elements of the
Theme, such as the Theme Colors, also found in the Themes group on the Page
Layout tab.

I'm not sure what you are referring to regarding the "few images supplied".
Is there a Picture Control? That is, when you click it the Insert Picture
dialog box opens with a few default images? If that's the case you can
select any graphic that you have or you can delete the control and insert
ClipArt instead.

I'm not sure what you mean by your third question, I think you want to
replace the Date Picker control with different control, such as a text
control? You'll find the Content Controls on the Developer tab. You should
be able to delete the Date Picker and insert a Text or Rich Text control
instead. If you don't see the Developer tab, click the Microsoft Office
Button, click Word Options, and in the Popular section, select "Show
Developer tab in the Ribbon".
