Editing in cell

I have the latest version of Office:X. How do I edit in a cell without being
forced to take my hands off the keyboard and use the mouse? I use Excel for
the PC at work and there I simply press F2 in the cell to edit. I don't want
to have to interrupt my work flow by using the mouse.

Take a look at this recent thread:

Note that I got a bit pluralized in my reply. References to

ThisWorkbooks

should be

ThisWorkbook

and

Private Sub Workbooks_Open()

should be

Private Sub Workbook_Open()

Ctrl + U will enter cell edit mode.

If you use F2 a lot, you may also need to know the Mac equivalent for
toggling between Relative, Absolute and Mixed referencing - F4 on a PC. It
is Cmd (Apple key) + T.

Enter cell edit mode used to be Cmd + U but, since 2001, MS have shifted
away from the standard Apple keys usage, although I note that you can toggle
between Ctrl & Cmd in Entourage. However, there are anomalies as with Cmd +
T.
