Editing marks

Help. I hit a button by mistake on my mac. I'm in word, and I don't know how
to get rid of the editing marks.

Nonprinting characters can be turned off and on by clicking ¶ in the
Standard toolbar. If that doesn't work, check the View settings in the
Word | Preferences menu.
