Editing Pictures/Clipart 2004 v. 2008

There was a feature in Office 2004 where you could double clip an inserted clipart and you could edit it by deleting parts of the picture you did want. An example would be a clipart frame with a family in it and you could delete out the family and just have the frame. It doesn't seem like you can do that in office 08. Could someone tell me what the problem is?

Thanks

The problem is that Office 2008 does not have an EMF editing engine in it,
so you can't edit clipart in 2008.

You can play with SmartArt. If you like arrows :) You can edit those...

Sorry!

Hi,

As John pointed out, this feature is missing in Office 2008. I assume you
are referring to the picture tools at the bottom of the Pictures toolbar.

Please send a note to Microsoft explaining how the lack of those tools has
affected your ability to work with Word:

Thanks.

I have only been using Word 2008 for a week and I find that the lack of the picture edit facility is a major drawback. I am very disappointed with the package. I have to go back to using Word 2001 on the old i-book to edit a picture.
