Editing points in PowerPoint

I guess one does not expect a new version of PowerPoint to be worse than the
preceding one. Unfortunately, this seems to be the case in PowerPoint 2007. I
am referring to the editing of points in drawn curved/straight lines/shapes.
In Office 2003 the editing of points was continuous, that is you could move a
point continuosly and smoothly to any position. In Office 2007 you can only
move the points in rather crude steps, wherby one loses the fine-tuning
ability of editing in Office 2003. And I guess one can not have two different
versions of Office on the same computer? So I may have to uninstall Office
2007 and reinstall Office 2003?

If you use customise when installing Office 2003 and then only install
Powerpoint you can use both versions of powerpoint without any problem.

Been there , done that too ... BUT if you switch freeforms between 03 and 07
you WILL get problems!

Back to the current problem ..

When you adjust a point in 07 you will still be able to see the original
shape and point. In 07 there is an annoying tendancy to snap back to the
original point making tiny movements impossible. This is whether snap to grid
/ object is on or off.

One solution is to move the point AWAY from where you want it to be (so
there is no point near the actual desired target). Now pick it up and move it
back!

Thanks for the suggestions. I reinstalled the PowerPoint part from Office
2003 under the customize alternative. It works fine.
