editing reports that are subreports

I am editing a report that happens to be a subreport in another report. The
changes are flowing through and affecting the other report. This hasn't been
a problem with previous projects. Is there a switch that I have inadvertently
turned on or off that affects this flow through?

I don't understand what you mean by "The changes are flowing through and
affecting the other report." Are you editing separately the Report that is
embedded in the Subreport Control, or are you editing it in-place in the
main Report? If the latter, perhaps you are inadvertently making the changes
to the main Report.

Specifically, what kind of changes are you talking about?

I am editing the report separately. The changes that I am making (perhaps a
new sum field or new group) are appearing in the imbedded report. It seems
that previous edits did not affect the imbedded version, now they do.

Sounds as if the problem went away. I'm not "superstitious" about this
stuff, but sometimes closing a database and reopening it will have released
/ regained some system resources to beneficial effect. It's always worth a
try, particularly if you've had that DB open for a long while as you worked
on it.
