Editing SaveDate Field

M

Moll

Is it possible to edit the SaveDate field so that it only
updates when a discrete change is made to the document,
rather than any change to the document.

If so, how should I go about it?

I am keen to distinguish (for example) substantive changes
to the document's content from style/formatting changes --
I'm guessing that I would have to tag the relevant
sections of the document that I want SaveDate to update
against, but have no idea how to do this (I am something
of a beginner at this)

Thanks

No, this is not possible.

Perhaps you could use a macro for this. You could explicitly
run the macro when you want to update "date" information in
the document and save in the same process?
