Editing shortcut keys

K

Kyrkos

I have never used WordPerfect's shortcut keys to know how they worked but my
guess is that my word is using wordperfect shortcut keys for editing (and I
do not know how to reset that). For example, instead of CTRL+C for copy it
needs CTRL+Insert, instead of CTRL+V for paste it used Shift+Insert, CTRL+Z
has turned into Alt+Backspace. It is almost a nightmare to write a document
and I do not know how to set everything back to normal.
The strange thing is that other programs are not affected and for example,
CTRL+C works fine in the explorer. Also, the "right" shortcut keys work for
other user of the same pc.
I have tried to find some mention of wordperfect in Tools, Option, General
but nothing. I thought the problem could be due to the keyboard setting but
wouldn't this affect other user accounts as well? Can someone suggest a
remedie please?

In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the "Help
for WordPerfect users" and "Navigation keys for WordPerfect
users" boxes | OK.

Hello Kyrkos-

You looked right past it -
I have tried to find some mention of wordperfect in Tools, Option, General

Remove the checks in the boxes for;

Help for WordPerfect Users
Navigation Keys for WordPerfect Users

They're right below the Recently Used File List option.
