Let say I have a ppt presentation with embedded graphs built from excel. Let's call these December.pptx and December.xlsx and are located in the \December directory. The charts are formatted, in terms of data, position and formatting exactly how I want them. I need to recreate the same ppt with updated charts, but without changing the December data to do so.
I've duplicated both December.pptx and December.xlsx and renamed them January.pptx and January.xlsx and moved the files to \January. When I first tried to edit the charts within January.pptx, it pointed me back to December.xlsx, which I don't want to change. There's a command to Update Links in Office, so I broke the links in January.pptx to point to January.xlsx. However, when I updated the charts in January.xlsx, January.pptx did not change.
Any thoughts on updating the charts within January.pptx?
