Editing Table

I edited the table used by the Gantt view so that the Name column (task) is a
width of 40. When I exit I click "apply" the column is perfect and the task
name wraps around nicely. IHowever, when save my file and reopen it, the
text no longer wraps and the width is back to 120. How can I keep the wrap
around of the Name text and preserve the width of 40? It prints nicely that
way.

I just noticed an old post on this. The answer was to expand the row height
- but if I do that the row height is expanded for all rows and that is a big
waste of space. What release of Project has this corrected so rows only
expand that need that? I have 2003 right now.

Actually, ignore my second post. If I adjust the column so it wraps nicely
and is the width I want, it is all lost on a save; when I reopen the file
that changes are gone.

Try creating a new view and a new table with the formatting you like. The
formatting should be more likely to be persistant.

A new view / table did not work. I am using MS Project 2003. Is this
perhaps fixed with a newer version of Project? Changes to column width
(making it narrower) does not get saved. Even though visually the text wraps
nicely in the task Name column, it reverts back to one row of text when
re-opened..
