Editing text in a control text box

Adam Sharman

Hi,

I am trying to edit the text in a control text box. I want some words to be
bold, is it possible to edit single words in a control text box?

The text box is just for display (so i can use the scroll bars)

Thanks

No. Formatting within a control text box is based on the entire text.
Unfortunately, the same is true for the Control RTF boxes.

You can insert a Word document with an action setting of edit. This would
allow you to add formatted text by clicking on the document area, but the
editing would be done in Word and only the final output would be in
PowerPoint. You would loss the 'see the key strokes' aspect and the scroll
bars.

Is there not a symbol (like the square for a line break) that indicates that
the word should be bold?
