Editing the administrator account

Jan M.

Hello,

I can't modify the administrator account : is this normal?

For the last two weeks, this account have been denied access to project
information. It seems the account doesn't have access to any category. This
is quite annoying since this is the account I've been using to create, save
and publish all our enterprise projects. I can still perform other admin
functions though.

There is nothing I can do to restore the account on the "modify user" page
since everything is gray and "non selectable".

Any idea?

You cannot modify the built-in Administrator account in PWA. Therefore, you
should add yourself as a user in PWA (if you have not already done so) and
then add your new user account to the Administrators group. Hope this
helps.

Restore it? Is it missing? If it exists, are you able to log into PWA with
this account? Please say more.

Dale, I'll try to make myself clearer.

I would like to start using this account again to create, save, publish and
update all our projects. This way, should I be out of the office for some
time, the person filling in for me could use the account to to the job in my
absence. That should prevent us from having to republish all assignments to
give the ownership of the projects to my backup, and republish again when I
return. That's the idea.

The problem is that I can't open projets anymore with this account and I'm
denied to see views in the project/ressource centers. So I'm looking for a
way to "reset" the account to the original settings: full access to
everything!

Hope you can help.
