editing wrap points on a graphic in word

I edited the wrap points on a piece of clip art so I could move it closer to
the text. However, the picture still blocked out part of the text. Is there
something else I might not doing when I edit the wrap points. The picture is
set to have the text wrap "Tight" around it.

I'm using MS Word 2003 and the picture was inserted from a jpg.

Have you since put the image into a "container" of some sort, such as a
Drawing Canvas, Text Box, AutoShape, etc.?

No. I even tried reinserting the jpg and editing the wrap points on it, with
the same result.

One thing I did not mention is that the text I want to wrap is in a text box.
I cut it from the text box and pasted it directly on the page. That did the
trick! Thanks for the question, that's what inspired me to make the change.

Well, jeepers, that *does* make a difference. Text Wrapping doesn't apply to
text in text boxes... but now you know that :) Glad you got it sorted!
