Effects of Changing Enterprise Resource Non-working Time

L

LarBearGolf

We are implementing MS Project Server and we've figured out how to set up
Enterprise Resources and change their non-working time (vacations, etc.).
Resources are used across many projects. If we change a resource's calendar,
will each and every project adjust accordingly and move tasks off the
non-working time?

TIA,

Larry

Larry,

That is a valid working assumption. The only caveat I can think of is that this probably isn't as automagic as you'd like or expect.

I think each project where a resource has assignments and their non-working time has been changed AFTER those assignments have been published may need to be republished, i.e. republish all new/changed assignments. This will force project server to look at the resource calendars and adjust accordingly. Let us know how it works out for you.
