Efficient "scribble" feature for powerpoint?

I have just bought a new modbook (www.axiotron.com), and so far I am
quite happy with it.

Now, I would like to use the moodbook to give presentations during
which I would like to write and scribble a lot on the slides.

Does anyone know about a plugin or additional software or any other
solution to achieve the following:

1. Switch quickly between "writing" and "pointing" mode, and switch
quickly between different colors.
(PPT does offer a pen during presentation mode, but switching between
pen and arrow is way too clumsy and time-consuming.)

2. Retains what I have written on the slides during presentation. It's
not necessary to save everything when I quit PPT.
(PPT right now erases everything when I switch to the next slide and
then back again.)

3. Provides a quick way to insert a new, empty slide after the one
that is currently being presented (so that I can scribble on it)
without leaving presentation mode.

BTW: I'm using PPT 2008 under Mac OS X 10.5.

Any ideas and pointers will be highly appreciated.

Best regards,
Gabriel.

Can't help you with color selection, but switching between Pen & Pointer
while in Slide Show View is nothing more than Command+P (Pen), Command+A
(Arrow). I believe it will work with Presenter Tools as well (I know the
keystrokes work, but but not sure if the Pen does - you may need dual
display to see the markup).
