Elapsed durations

I have a task which was originally set as an elapsed duration. Now I need to
change the duration to a duration under a specific calendar. Every time I
change the duration and calendar in task information, the duration keeps
reverting back to elapsed duration. I have checked the options box out but
that does not seem to have any feature to turn on or off.

Any ideas please

Sorry should have mentioned that I am using Project 2002. In Project 2000 it
is easy to change elapsed duration to 'standard' duration, so it seems there
is a different setting in 2002.

Elapsed duration is not changed by the calendar (and I don't think it was in
Project 2000 either). Simply display the duration column and delete the "e"
in the duration.

If you have a large number of tasks you could write some code to do this for
you, but for a few tasks you are fine doing it manually.
