I want to draw simple electrical circuits in Word 2008 using the standard symbols for capacitors, resistors, etc - does anyone know how best to go about this?
Thanks in advance,
Oliver

Hello Oliver -

You probably won't find everything you'd like to since Word isn't intended
for that sort of project. If it will get you by have a look at the Object
Palette in the Toolbox (or AutoShapes, Lines, etc. on the Drawing Toolbar -
same stuff). However, you'll find more - including Connectors - if you use
Excel or PPt rather than Word. The result can be copied & pasted into a Word
document, although it may not be further editable, so keep a copy of the
source file in which create it.

Quite honestly, there are other programs which offer significantly better
tools & features, many of which are inexpensive or free. In fact you may
already have the trial version of OmniGraffle - check your Applications
folder. If not you can download a working trial version here (use the link
at the bottom of the page for version 4.x - version 5 requires Leopard);
