eliminating blank pages after Table of Contents

R

Robert Gross

This is an irritating problem, but I will live with it if
I have to.

I would like to have a Cover Page, Table of Contents page,
followed by odd-even headers/footers on the rest of the
document. Problem is, no matter what I do, I get a blank
page after my Table of Contents.

Is there any way to get rid of it? I have tried section
breaks, but Word seems to 'insist' that if I have odd and
even pages in my document, that my Table of Contents must
have them, also.

thanks for your help!

If you're starting the section following the TOC on an odd page (Odd Page
break) and the TOC ends on an odd page, then, yes, you will get a totally
blank page (you won't see this in Word, even in Print Preview, unless you're
displaying multiple pages). If you're getting a blank page with a
header/footer/page number on it (or you can see it in Word), then it is
caused by extra paragraph marks or the like and can be eliminated. Display
nonprinting characters (Ctrl+*) to help you find the problem.
