Email a form

R

Renee Linder

I am trying to email information that users enter on my website using a submit button. However, it is not working. Is there a simple way to do this? Does someone have a form or source code I could look at? I just need name, phone and email collected and emailed to me.

Thanks!

Renee, I would suggest that you go to http://www.davidbartosik.com/faq.htm,
read the FAQ on forms, and then perhaps go to your version of Publisher and
read more. DavidF

Rachel,

I am sorry if you did not get a 'real' answer to your question. If you post
back with the specifics of your problem and which version of Publisher you
are using, perhaps someone here can do a better job helping you. The
information on David Bartosik's site is the best available for using
Publisher to produce a website and has helped me answer questions I didn't
even know I had. Perhaps the text from the link I provided might help:

Q- I put a form on my page and it doesn't work.
A- A form requires "processing", which is done on the web server. Publisher
uses FrontPage extensions to provide this processing. To make your form
operational your web server requires the installation of FrontPage
extensions. Contact your web host for this feature. If using Publisher 2000
order FP extensions 2000, if using Publisher 2002 order FP extensions 2002.
You will also have to upload to the server in http not ftp to make the
extension functionality operational.

Perhaps this page about Publisher 2000 and Frontpage Extensions would help:

http://www.davidbartosik.com/pub2k/pub2k_35.htm

Or this page for Publisher 2002:

http://www.davidbartosik.com/pub2002/pub2002_22.htm

Once again, if the information on these pages, and perhaps the Help file on
your computer does not provide you with a 'real' enough answer to your
questions, please post back with more details about your issues, and we will
try to help you.

Hi Renee!

I have exactly the same problem... need to have a simple form on my
Publisher site. Did anyone give you a real answer?
