Email Account settings change at logon

M

Michael

When I logon all my email account settings change to:

Incoming mail Server (POP3): localhost
User Name: "user name"/"mail server name"

Outlook demands I confirm the Network Password which
shows:

Server: local host
User Name: "user name"/"mail server name"
Password: *********

Clicking on that to confirm has no impact. The only way
to enable Outlook to send/receive mail is to return the
email account settings to those originally entered. That
is the incoming mail server is properly entered and th
email server name in User Name is removed.

Outlook will then work until the next time the computer
is turned on.

Does anyone know how to get Outlook 2002 to retain the
email accouynt settings entered?

Looks like you've got an anti-virus program set to scan incoming/outgoing
mail items.
