Email alers arent working

I upgraded yesterday from Outlook 2002 to Outlook 2007. My email alerts had
consisted of a sound, an on screen notification and an envelope on the task
bar. Now I have nothing. I have POP.3 mail. I have checked and unchecked
all the appropriate boxes under advanced Email options. I have done this over
& over and closed and reopened Outlook. Nothing works, Please help!

I haven't gone to your suggested" how to" yet, however I did find the answer
in another forum and it worked. You have to create a NEW RULE for the
incoming Email sound & Alert to work. I tried it and it works now. As far
as what you have said about if you move incoming mails to a different
folder...that really makes no sense??? I hadn't done anything differently
except upgrade to 2007, so it was nothing I did, but rather what Outlook 2007
does when you upgrade. It somehow disables that feature and you have to write
a new rule for it.

I just went to the Outlook How To as you suggested. It addresses a lot of
the issues. I downloaded Tools for Outlook. Thanks for the suggestion!
