I can make Outlook to bring up email alerts (such as playing a sound) without
any problems, provided that the incoming email is received into the inbox as
usual.
But after I setup emails rules, for example, to move specific emails from
specified sender to another Outlook folder other than Inbox, I encounter
problems. With Outlook 2000 it seems to work (I mean it does play a sound
most of the time when the email arrives, even the rule moves it to another
folder).
With Outlook 2003 (in another machine of one of us in a Company) I can't
make email alerts to work AT ALL a rule acts on the mail. If I turn off the
rule and run another test, it works straight the way.
Do I miss anything? Our Outlook client connects to an MS Exchange Server.
Windows OS is XP.
If you could overcome this, kindly put down briefly each step you set up.
Thanks for feedback.
