Email attachments infected with W97M.Satt.A virus - please help!

I am sending emails with Word documents attached. I get responses
from recipients that the files are infected with the W97M.Satt.A
virus. I've used Virex 7.2 with the latest definitions to scan my
computer - no viruses were detected. I tried deleting the normal
templates also in Word. Still, the files appear to be infected. Any
ideas?

Could you send me a file on my e-mail address ?? (the one in the header
after removing "NoSpam").

Are these virus reports in response to documents you have deliberately sent
out? Or are you getting these reports and assuming the docs are being sent
out without your knowledge?

A lot of windows viruses use a fake sender's address when they send infected
emails out, so the bounces and reject notices go to the 'apparent' sender,
instead of the real one. There's not a lot you can do about that, if you
have been chosen as the apparent sender.
