Email Attachments over 2mb

I have a sudden NEW problem with my Outlook 2003 (Win XP). When I attach a
file (or files) equal to or greater than 2Mb to an email and send it to one
or more people via Outlook, each person gets the message multiple times. The
number of times varies, but I suspect that has something to do with their
individual mail servers. I've tested this through webmail for my own mail
server and the problem doesn't seem to be there. I believe it's an Outlook
problem. I've scanned for viruses and malware. I use bitdefender for my av,
as, et al. security. I'm currently backing up my data and will plan to
remove and reinstall Outlook unless somebody has a better idea!? HELP I'm
losing friends by the minute!

You should not send such large files in emails. It's probably your ISP's
servers limits that cause the problem. Resize your attachments by zipping or
editing. You can place large files on a web site and just send the link.
Reinstalling Outlook will be useless. Make sure you don't have "files stuck

The most likely cause is on the sender's end. If you are scanning outgoing
mail with an antivirus program, disable that scanning. It's unnecessary and
can cause the symptom you describe. Also, you can increase the server
timeout value on the Advanced tab or your account properties.
