Email Auto-linking and Automatically Creating Contacts

I am using Outlook 2007 with BCM and when inside an email if I hit "link to
record" all of the emails addresses contained in the email are listed as
"link to" choices. Those that are in my Business Contact List are checked by
default and those that are not are not checked. If I check those contact
records for them will be created automatically. How can I get this same
functionality when using auto- linking? I have a mailbox with approx 3000
emails in it and want to have auto-linking scan the box and attach the emails
to anyone in the address fields. If the contact is already there it will get
attached to that name and if not a new record will be created and the email
attached to it. (The reason I want to do this is to capture all of the
contacts. I can then scan through the contact list and see who has an email
address only and enter the rest of the contact information which I can most
likely get from the body of the email that was attached to the contact - and
used to create the contact record)

Right now the only way I figured to do this is one-by-one using the and
using the "link to record". Does anyone know of an easier way?

A second question is - Does anyone know how to change the default settings
of the "link to" button. I would like it to default to placing a check box
next to all of the entries whether or not they are in my Business Contact
List.
