email blocking

I have been recieving vindictive, nasty emails from a
person known to me, not spam. Changing my email address is
not an option. Is there a way for me to block emails from
that particular address? Is there a way to block any
emails that would come from any address containing that
particular name?

suggest you post your question in an email newsgroup. this group answers
questions about MS Access database software.
however, i'd suggest you use a filter (most email applications have one) to
automatically move those messages to your email Trash as they come in. if
you can't do that, you can just delete them without opening them.

Hi Cathy

This is the newsgroup for security related to Microsoft Access database
software. You would probably get more effective help on your email problem
from other sources such as the newsgroup related to the email software you
are using i.e. Outlook, Eudora etc. Your ISP (internet service provider) may
provide better help.

If someone has your email address, he/she will always be able to send you
email. You can block the "sender", but that would not preclude the person
from getting a new email address (yahoo, hotmail, etc) and continue sending
to you. About the only effective way is to get a new email address, or...
hunt down the person and ... kill him.. <G>
