Email Change Problem

I started my MS365 subscription in February 2023 under my then email address which was an @virgin.net address. In October, I received an email from Virgin giving 30 days notice that they were to close their email accounts and I would have no further access to emails at the end of the notice period. This was the first and only personal email address I had ever had, so imagine the difficulty this created. I immediately established a new email address using @outlook.com and used the next few weeks advising all necessary parties of this and changing all accounts which had used the @virgin.net email as part of the login process. The only one I haven't been able to change is the MS365 account. I had not logged into my MS365 account since first subscribing and as sometimes happens I had forgotten the password. I cannot use the "forgotten password" facility as this will send a link to the @virgin.net email which no longer exists. I need to change this because in February 2025, an email will be issued by MS to the @virgin.net address reminding me of the annual direct debit, and of course I need to ensure there are sufficient funds in my account. In summary, how can I change the email address on my MS365 account?
