email contacts

I'm connected to a server that did have everyone's email correctly listed but somehow, all the email addresses are just showing last name the a comma and then their first name.
How do I get my contacts back with the correct email addresses?

It's not unusual for corporate directories to list users in this manner
in the GAL. Other than adding every person to your local Address Book
'On My Computer' (or at least the ones you most commonly correspond
with), there is no way to change this behavior.
