EMail delay

Outlook 2002 I have a huge delay accessing email. I am on cable, with McAfee
security suite running. My status bar shows something like Send /Receive
Status 73%, for many minutes! Does this with o without Spamkiller, which I
thought was the culprit. Any suggestions?

Open the Send/Receive dialog and see how many unfinished tasks are listed
there.

I have three email accounts: 2 were successful, while my main account had the
message
"Task Ron Sending / Receiving reported error (0X800CCC0F) the connection to
the server was interrupted. If this problem continues contact your server
administrator or ISP."
I was not aware of this details screen, so thank you.
However I don't believe the message, since it happens so often, it didn't
happen on the other two accounts, and it does get there sooner or later.
Is there anything else that could cause this besides a connection failure,
or something that could look like a connection failure?

Thanks for your response!

Are these accounts all using a different POP3 server?

Everything about all 3 accounts is the same except for name and password,
same pop3 account.
