email downloading into outlook

I can only retrieve my email the first time I sign into Outlook 2003. I know
there are messages waiting but I cannot retrieve them until the next day.
Even using the send/receive button does not retrieve waiting messages.

This is a new problem. Prior to this I had been able to receive message
within minutes of them being sent to me.

I'm fairly computer challenged and don't know where to look to resolve this
issue.

Are you leaving messages on the server?

I really don't know what you mean by that. Given that, the answer is
probably a yes.

Try downloading all your e-mail using another e-mail client or delete them
from the server using web access. You'll need to completely remove all
messages from the server so Outlook can reset what it needs to download.
