email error in Word

R

Richard Rohrmann

When attempting to send an email to an address in a Word
document received via email, I get the following error
message. What should I do to fix this? Don't be afraid of
talking down to me because I have a 2 year old computer
mentality. Thanks a bunch.

The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Please verify that you
have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'POP3',

Hi Richard,

Typically this error means you have a problem with your email
settings. Are you able to send email in general or do you encounter
the message only when you attempt to send in Word?

If it happens with all emails then you need to contact your ISP and
tell them the error you are encountering. They should be able to help
you correct the settings you need in order to use their service.

If the error occurs only when you are using Word then what email
program are you using? What version of Word are you using? Go to
Help/About Microsoft Word and provide the full version number near the
top of the About box.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
