Email Excel from Mac to PC

Hi,

I have been emailing a .txt file to a number of contacts who use PC's. When
they open it they get the error message (This file must be converted with
BinHex 4.0). To try to solve the problem I have saved the file as an Excel
workbook and emailed it again and had the same result.

Any ideas??

I am using a G5 with office 2004

In Entourage Preferences/Mail & News Preferences/Attachments, change the
Encode dropdown from "Macintosh (BinHex)" to "Any computer (AppleDouble)"
