We use Outlook 2003 (Exchange 2003) on XP machines (SP3). When
receiving email from outside sources the email messages sometimes fail
to open completely, showing only the border and the subject line text
at the top. It never displays the body of the email. Outlook then
locks up and will not finish opening the message.
This seems to happen only on email that contains an attachment (the
type or size seems to make no difference) and a signature block that
contains a graphic file such as a company logo.
If, before you try to open the email the normal way, you right click
on it and select "Forward", the message and attachment will open
normally. Usually, once the message has been forwarded the party
receiving it can open it without a problem, however there have been
occasions when Outlook will react as described above.
Any ideas????
