Email field in Project Center view

Is it possible to create a project center view in PWA with a email link for
each project as a custom column?
When an executive view the project center with list of projects and its
status indicator, he/she would like to click the email link to send a message
to the project owner or project manager.
I am using MOSS 2007 and MS Project Server 2007.

Any input is appreciated.

You can use the built-in Hyperlink Href field to populate a mail link like
mailto:[email protected] and expose this field in a Project Center
view.

Hi Gary,
Where I can find project level built-in Hyperlink Href field? I have tried
Project Information, project properties in Project Professional but could not
find that field. I can see that field is available to be exposed in the
project center view. I really appreciate your help on this.

Thanks in advance

Hi Gary,

Thanks for your reply.
I have did the same way you have mentioned. The Hyperlink Href field is
exposed in Project Center view and project details view. But the email link
is only visible in Project Detail view as I entered in MS Project
Professional 2007 in summarytask. The email link is not visible in "Project
Center" view which I am trying to achieve.

My problem is I am trying to tag a email for each project so that in the
project center view, Execs can click the link and email to the dafaulted
project managers.

I really appreciate your feedback or help on this.
Thanks

Hi Gary,
Thanks for your reply.
Do you mean the top Project summary task. It still reads task 1.
If you are meaning that, then, thats where I have tried and show up next to
Project Summary task in the Project Details view.

Is there anyway, even back door way in database level, or anyway else, we
can implement this in Project Center view next to the Projects?

Thanks for your help.

Ok, so the answer is you don't know about the project summary task. In
Project, go to Tool > Options > View Tab and select "Show Project Summary
Task" in the bottom section of the dialog and try adding your href value to
Task Zero (0). Then publish the project. Make sure you have the href field
added to your view.
