Hello, a few months ago, I posted about this problem
(can't seem to find it in the archives), but it seemed to
miraculously resolve itself. Now, it's reared it's ugly
head again.
Here's the issue: I've created a very simple form in FP
2002 and set the option to email the results. When I test
it, I receive an "object not found" error. However, the
form does submit normally. The thing is, the error seems
to be completely arbitrary. Sometimes it happens,
sometimes it doesn't. I'll test the form, get the error,
then delete my browser cache, republish, and the form will
(sometimes) work without error. I'm not sure if
that "fixes" anything.
When I posted about this originally, and because I had
never encountered a problem like this with forms before, I
thought the issue was a possible bug when setting a field
to be validated. But this form has no validation set on
any of the fields.
Then I thought maybe it's a browser issue...
I've tested this from work where I'm on XP with IE (6?).
I've tested from home and things are screwy here, too. If
I launch IE from within AOL and try the form, I get the
error (not sure how IE incorporates into AOL or what
version this is). If I launch an instance of IE 5 outside
of AOL and try the form, I don't get the error.
I have no problems when setting the form to store the
results in a database.
Has anyone ever encountered anything like this? Thanks for
any help. I feel like I'm losing my mind.
