Email forwards received as MIME gibberish

Carl

I am using Outlook 2002 and Windows XP Service Pack 2 on a Dell 8200 PC
for my emails. The following problem happens infrequently, but often
enough to be upsetting.

When I forward or send an email that has a link (URL) to a long list of
addressees (e.g. 20 to 30) the recipients receive a garbled email with
the following characteristics:

1.The received email begins with >,
2.The email subject is removed and blank
3.The recipients email address is printed in detail instead of the
Outlook Contact "Display as" field (I'll start using BCC in the
future)
4.As sender, I am sometimes informed of one or two recipients that
could not be reached, even though other emails go to the same email
address with no problem
5.The received email sometimes has the following error message: 500
Command unknown: '>'
6.The received email usually says: "This is a multi-part message in
MIME format"
7.The received email ends with pages of "gibberish"
8.For the most part the received email is unreadable

I've checked and double checked my settings in Outlook. The options
menu is correctly set for emails to the best of my knowledge. Most of
my emails are OK, except for the above set of circumstances.

Please help before my friends loose interest in my emails, and loose
patience with me.

Carl
