Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

I recently purchased the 2008 office version. I use to run office X (2000)

I have set up categories for all my contacts. When I receive an email I want to see these contacts in the assigned color for that category but they still come as the "none" colour.

The setting in the preferences - Addresses - messages - are all checked.

Also some of these emails go to my junk mail folder.

Also I would like to sync up my contacts with my Palm PDA.

Help!!!!!

It sounds like one of your rules is marking messages as category "none" and
moving them to the junk folder. Most likely it's a Mailing List Manager
rule.

It's very easy to set up a MLM rule by accident, when you are marking a
message as 'not junk'. The wording of that dialog is ambiguous to say the
least. Check if there is an MLM entry (look for MLM entries under the tools
menu) with the incorrect destination folder as the target folder. Mailing
List Manager rules run before your other rules.

There are 3 different kind of rules in Entourage:

Mailing List Manager (MLM)
Junk Mail Filter
Rules (custom rules you create)

They run in the order listed above. The custom rules also run in the order
they are listed. (top runs first)
