email hyperlink in Excel causes mirror in mirror effect t

Hi All,
When one clicks a email hyperlink in Excel 2007 it causes a zillion email
pages to attempt to open-one on top of the other ad nauseum--sort of like
holding a mirror if from of another mirror, ya know? The email pages finally
screw up the whole show and the system must be restarted.
Email is OUTLOOK 2003
Any ideas???
