email hyperlinks

Outlook 2000. I am unable to "click" on received email hyperlinks to open web
sites. I have to copy/paste site address by opening source notepad. Any quick
fix in tools/options I'm missing?

Whether in review pane or opened mail, hyperlink displays as hyperlink but
clicking or control/click does nothing at all.
