Email INCLUDEPICTURE MERGEFIELD Pictures Not Changing

Freddy

I am trying to Merge To Email such that each email has a unique picture.
After the merge, all text fields are correct but the picture is
unfortunately the same for all emails.

If I select Merge To A New Document in the orginal document and update the
new document (Control a, Control F9), the correct pictures appear. I'm not
so sure how to do this for Merge To Email.

The Excel source document is C:\\Publisher\\DataSource.xls and the relevant
column is called Picture. Data in the Picture column cells point to the
pictures e.g. C:\\Publisher\\1.jpg

In the orginal Word document the picture MERGEFIELD is {INCLUDEPICTURE
"{MERGEFIELD Picture}" \* MERGEFORMAT}

Any assistance is appreciated.

See the "Individual Merge Letters" item on fellow MVP Graham Mayor's website
at:

http://www.gmayor.com/individual_merge_letters.htm

If you are using Word XP or later, the "Add-in to Merge Letters to Separate
Files" that I have written and that can be downloaded from that site will
allow you to create each letter as a separate file with a filename taken
from a field in the data source with a minimum of fuss.

Then see the article "Mail Merge to E-mail with Attachments" at

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MailMerge/MergeWithAttachments.htm

to send each message as an attachment to the recipients.

The only way I know of to merge images direct to email or fax is to use an
add-in called OnMerge Images. The add-in also automates the macro coding and
handles the case where no image is available for a given data record. A free
trial is available at http://onmerge.com/Demo.html

Hope this helps,
Miles
