Email Infopath form to update database

Hi there,

I'm considering convert some manual work to automatic work. I've never
used infopath and was wondering if infopath can meet my requirements.
Basically I want to do the following:

1. generate form based on an underly database (e.g. SQL Server table)
2. email the form to the appropriate people
3. recipients update the form and then reply the email, the
corresponding database will be updated

if infopath can meeting the above the needs, would you please kindly
advise how to do that? Your input would be much appreciated.

Everything you are requesting can be accomplished through infopath.

You can set up a direct Data update using a connection to a SQL server
database
You can use submit button custom rules to submit the information both to the
SQL server database and to a specified email address.
