When I click on an email address link Outlook does not open a compose window.
I have to copy the email address and paste it manually. Have I changes some
settings without knowing it. Please help.

That would WHICH version of Outlook? And WHICH version of Windows?

Click on an e-mail link WHERE?

Have you tried creating a shortcut on your desktop whose command is
"mailto:" (sans quotes) and then double-clicking on it?

Where is the link and does the cursor turn to a finger when you hover over
it? What happens when you try to click it?
