Is there a way to stop Excel (OSX) from automatically creating a hyperlink when
entering an email address in a cell? I have a macro to remove the link but
this means clicking the cell and running the macro.

I'd rather have to click a cell and create the hyperlink when I want it, not
the other way around.

thanks for the help. That would work but methinks it should be an option in the

MS supposedly reads. They definitely know that this is an issue - and
they changed it for WinXL. I am hopeful that this preference will be in
the next version.
