Email merge HTML

In word2002 and outlook2002 installed performing an email
merge if I choose HTML format to send emails it does not
work. However, if I choose attachment or plaintext it does
work.

I have tried the word support but had no luck.

Your post is too vague. List all the steps you are using in precise order.
You can choose the format in at least 2 different places. Define what you
mean by "doesn't work." What happens?

If I perform an email merge from Microsoft Word 2002 -
(tools - Letters and, mailing) in the last step (6 of 6)
we get an
"Merge to email dialog box " to select the Mail format in
which we want to send the email.

We have Plaintext, attachment and HTML options listed. If
we choose any option other than HTML the email will be
sent but it is not sent if we choose HTML.

Hope this is clear and thank you very much for the quick

It's a Word problem, then, not an Outlook one. You still didn't mention what
does happen.
What happens if you create the document in HTML format?

Ok Let me explainm you the complete procedure I follow:

I Open Microsoft word 2002
Clcik on Tools - Lettera and Mailing
Mailmerge
Choose Email message
Follow the wizard until step 6
when we click on Merge
"Merge to email dialog box " to select the Mail format in
which we want to send the email.

In the dropdown if we choose HTML the email is "never sent"

If we choose Plaintext, attachment the email will be sent.

Also, I kept the same issue in word group and they asked
me to contact outlook.

What data source are you using in this merge?
Why don't you try doing the merge from Outlook?

It does not seem that anyone has found a solution to this. The emails are
not created. All you get is the egg timer and in the bottom of the screen is
says word is merging records.

I need to send it in a html format, any suggestions?

I would try using Help | Detect and Repair to repair Office, since this
feature definitely exists and works as expected when all is well.
