EMail Merge with Office 2008

Last Spring, I had no problems doing an email merge using the document from
Word, addresses from Excel and Entourage as my mailer.

However, I just went to do one now, and the email option no longer seems to
exist. When I go into Mail Merge Manager and get the pop-up dialogue box,
there's no longer any option for email when I'm asked for a document type. I
did have that option a few months ago.

Does anyone know what happened or if my Word somehow got corrupted? I did
have a new hard drive installed last month and I had to restore all my
programs and documents via Time Machine.

Any thoughts or alternatives would be greatly appreciated.

Did you change your default email application? This feature only works in
combination with Entourage; if your default email application is anything
other than Entourage, the email merge feature won't work. To make Entourage
the default application, open Entourage's preferences, General section, and
click on the button that reads "Set Entourage to be my default email
client". Next, quit and relaunch Word, and the option should now be
available.

I have set up Entourage as my default email client but I still cannot see email merge feature in my word 2008. Any idea what else I can do?

Does the fact that I do not see email feature in my word 2008 (after making my entourage default email client) have to do with my Home and Student Edition?

No. BTW, someone on the Office Word newsgroup might be better able to help
with the merge problem.

Thanks for everyone's notes. I finally figured it out. Seems some update
must have changed a few icons, but it does, in fact, work.

If anyone else who's having trouble wants to give me a shout, feel free...
