email messages not viewing fonts correctly

After upgrading to office 2003 my new messages and messages I reply to are viewing fonts abnormally large compared to actual. Messages change view to actual font after send but I'm not seeing normal size when I view. Makes it difficult to compose a message when I'm not seeing wysiwyg. My IT dept can't even figure it out and others are not experiencing the same difficulty. Anyone else run into this

did you check the font settings in tools, options, mail format, fonts?
