Email not going to Inbox

I am running Entourage 2008 (ver 12.1.2 (080729) Last update install 12.1.2

My mail is not going into my inbox. I can put mail into a subfolder, and
entourage gets that update, but any new mail is not going to my inbox.

I have run the database untility, compacted, rebuilt, etc the database.

Still no luck....

and other ideas.

Normally, when mail is routed to the wrong folder, it's a rogue Mailing List
Manager rule that is moving the mail.

It's very easy to set up a MLM rule by accident, when you are marking a
message as 'not junk'. The wording of that dialog is ambiguous to say the
least. Check if there is an MLM entry (look for MLM entries under the tools
menu) with the incorrect destination folder as the target folder. Mailing
List Manager rules run before your other rules.

Cody,

Just to make sure -- did you examine Mailing List Manager on the Tools menu
as well as Rules on the Tools menu? They are different features, and both
can cause the symptom you're describing.

Try Control-Clicking your Inbox in the folder list and choosing
Folder Properties > Empty Cache.
